Pakistan is considered a leading mango producing country which has extensive seasonal timeline commences from May and remains till the first week of October. The most popular and successful cultivation areas of Pakistan mangoes are Multan, Rahim Yar Khan Shujaabad & Interior part of Sindh Province.

Health benefits of Mangoes

The Mango fruit is rich in pre-biotic dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, and poly-phenolic flavonoid antioxidant compounds. The mango fruit has been found to protect against colon, breast, leukemia and prostate cancers. Several trial studies suggest that polyphenolic anti-oxidant compounds in mango are known to offer protection against breast and colon cancers. Mango fruit is an excellent source of Vitamin-A, B, & C and other antioxidant vitamins. Fresh mango is a good source of potassium which is an important component of cell and body fluids that helps controlling heart rate and blood pressure. Being a source of antioxidant vitamins, it helps the body in developing resistance against infectious disease.

Popular Mango Varieties

There are number of varieties which have distinctive colors, aroma and tastes. It is indeed amazing that so many unique tastes come from the same fruit originating from so close proximity.

Sindhri

Sindhri mango is the epitome of perfection in the mangos. It is oval in shape with a beautiful yellow colour, very low fiber and an incomparable aroma. Available from late May to June.

Chaunsa

The Chaunsa mango is known for being very sweet, firm and low fiber. Available between late June to August.

Gulaab Khaas

The Gulaab Khaas mango is reddish in appearance has a sweet taste and is known for its rosy flavor and aroma non-fibrous pulp and has a different taste and texture. Available between late May to July.

Dusehri

The Dusehri mango is greenish yellow in colour, slightly aromatic, non-fibrous pulp. Available between late May to July.

Anwar Ratol

The Anwar Ratol mango is a small mango, sweet in taste with a pleasant aroma with a beautiful yellow colour and has very low fiber. Available in July.

Hot Water Treatment

At IAC we are continuously on the lookout for the latest technology to improve and enhance the quality of our products. The Hot Water Treatment (HWT) plant was imported from AWETA B,V. Holland. This is the only ultra-fast, accurate and product friendly grading system which can grade mangoes by color, weight and diameter. The HWT is controlling effective in control, the process entails the dipping of freshly harvested mangoes in heated water at a specific temperature for definite time as per the requirement of quarantine protocols of importing countries to control pests and eradicate fruit flies.

Meets (HWT Plant) International Quarantine Requirements

Our Fresh Mango Hot Water Treatment Plant has been approved by international quarantine departments for the following importing countries: China, South Korea, Mauritius, Lebanon, lran and the USA. We are currently in the process of complying with the Australian quarantine requirements.
